Pawsome publicity:
The Metro recently shared some interesting stats that during winter only 29% of people in the UK take a walk every day. Due to this ast-hounding figure Walking with The Wounded has created a challenge to get people moving in the run-up to Christmas.
The article also shared a few tips on how to get motivated to move more during the winter months and one of their tips was to walk a dog. Of course, not everyone in the UK owns a pooch so we were supaw pleased to see that they recommended using BorrowMyDoggy to borrow a pup for regular walks and extra exercise. Thank you to the journalist, Lizzie Thomson, for including us in the Metro article.
Many prefer to walk with a companion and we absowoofly agree that a four-legged friend makes a walk all the more fun. Our pawsome pals are a great motivation to get moving and enjoy the outdoors come rain or shine. If you need a helping paw to find some great local walks check out our dog walk guides where we’ve sniffed out the pupular dog walking spots.
