Fox and Hounds
Your pup is welcome to dine with you inside or out here and there are beautiful views over the Dam to enjoy. There is a varied menu for two legged friends to choose from and dogs will be treated to water bowls and ear ruffles from the friendly staff. All in all, a great place to visit if you’re a dog or a dog sitter in Wakefield.
The Dam
Dogs are welcome to dine with you in the bar here, which is pretty pawsome. If your pooch is well behaved, there might be a few scraps left over from your carvery lunch that we’re sure he’d absowoofly love. Pooches will be welcomed by staff and there is also outside seating overlooking Newmillerdam lake (weather permitting of course).
The Castle
If it’s cold outside, The Castle offers a lovely open fire to curl up beside alongside your pup, and a lovely garden to enjoy in Summer months. Vegan options are available and there is plenty of great food options so two legged friends will be spoilt for choice. Water bowls for pups will be provided on request.
The Navigation Inn
Is your pooch partial to a bit of frozen yoghurt? If so, this is a great place to stop for lunch, as they provide pawsome pup friendly yoghurt for furry visitors. Located next to the canal, you can stop off here before or after a local dog walk. Their beer garden is a lovely place to take in the views and enjoy a well earned lunch.
