There are lots of great dog walks in Newbury, here are just some of our favourites…
Snelsmore Common Country Park
If you’re a dog sitter in Newbury looking for a nice peaceful walk then Snelsmore Common Country Park is a great place to start. Your pup can chase through woodland trails, stretch his legs on the open heathland and get muddy in the boggier areas. There is lots of space to picnic, just be sure to keep your eyes open for roaming ponies!
Welford Park
Pawticularly pretty during snowdrop season, this is a lovely walk that offers beautiful scenery and a nice relaxed environment. There is also opportunity for your pup to take a dip in the river if he likes to swim. All in all a very enjoyable place to walk a dog in Newbury.
Bowdown Woods
Popular with both dog walkers as well as families, this is a pawsome woodland to explore with your four legged friend. With tarmaced areas perfect for a game or two of fetch, this is a nice varied dog walk that can be enjoyed at any time of year. There are also ample opportunities for your pup to swim or cool down on a hot day.
Donnington Castle
Explore the castle grounds and explore the many winding paths with your furry friend, whilst enjoying the fantastic views over Newbury. Take a picnic and take in the beautiful countryside or stop off at the Donnington Castle pub nearby which allows pooches to dine with you inside.
