Aylestone Meadows
A lovely local nature reserve in Leicester owned and managed by Leicester City Council. With many paths to explore and a varied terrain this is a great place to take a pup that likes an adventure. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled for otters, swans and badgers who make their home here!
The Outwoods
If you’re a dog walker in Leicester that enjoys a woodland walk then why not head to The Outwoods? Filled with bluebells in the spring and popular with locals due to the varied routes and opportunities for off-lead play. Make sure to stop off at the lovely dog friendly double decker bus/cafe which sells yummy sandwiches and hot drinks as well as doggy flapjacks on weekends!
Market Bosworth Country Park
At its best in Autumn with all the jewel coloured leaves dotted around, this is a great place to walk a dog in Leicester. With a good mix of ponds if your pup likes to swim, as well as woodland and open fields, which makes for a great location for a game of fetch or frisbee.
Beacon Hill
If you’re a dog sitter in Leicester that enjoys a walk with a view then Beacon Hill is the walk for you. With picturesque views over many of the Leicestershire towns from the viewpoint, as well as the chance to see sheep and alpacas roaming in the shrub areas, this is a pawsome place to spend an afternoon.
