Fewston Reservoir
If you’re walking a dog in Harrogate that enjoys a nice woodland walk with some water along the way, then this is the walk for you. You can pick from a number of trail’s depending how energetic you and your pup are feeling, walks vary from ¼ mile to 6 miles in length.
The Pinewoods
This walk is very popular with locals and visitors alike, so is a great place to meet other pups along the way. There are lots of routes to choose from which can be tailored to the length of walk you’d like. With lots of woodland areas to explore, be sure to pack your wellies in winter months as it can get a little muddy from time to time.
Ripley Castle
Perfect for a dog walker in Harrogate looking for a scenic walk. Taking you around the outside of the Ripley Castle Walls, pups aren’t allowed inside due to the deer that live inside but the walk is still a lovely one. With a mixture of hilly and flat terrain as well as water en route, there is plenty to keep two legged and four legged friends entertained.
Valley Gardens
A great walk to enjoy whatever time of the year. With a cafe to stop at for refreshments or one of their infamous ice-creams, you can easily spend a few hours exploring with your furry friend. Flower beds are always filled with gorgeous flowers and there are often events on within the gardens, so be sure to check out what’s going on before you visit.
