Whether you are walking a dog owned or borrowed, there are plenty of great places to walk a dog in Doncaster.
Sandall Park
If you’re looking for a great picnic spot with your pup with plenty of mixed terrain to explore, Sandall Park is a lovely place to visit. There’s a lake if your pooch likes to swim as well as a cafe if you’d like to stop for refreshments, definitely worth a visit if you’re walking a dog in Doncaster.
Lakeside Village
A scenic and beautiful dog walk. Located next to Keepmoat stadium, walk along the pebbly beach and watch the swans swim by. Parking is available on the road, we recommend visiting at sunrise or sunset where the views over across the water are at their best.
Warning Tongue Lane Wood
As a dog walker in Doncaster, a great place to visit is Warning Tongue Lane Wood. With long mossy clearings, this is the perfect opportunity for your pup to stretch his legs and indulge in many games of frisbee (but be careful not to lose your toy to the mossy undergrowth). Dogs are welcome to be off lead here and you are likely to come across many other four legged friends for your pooch to play with.
Melton Woods
Whilst listing our favourite dog walks in Doncaster it seems only fair that we mention Melton Woods which is (in our opinion) top of the walks! With a mixture of tall trees, undergrowth and open space your pup will have plenty to see, smell and explore. NB: keep an eye out for horse riders who may pass by from time to time.
