Parks in Coventry
Coombe Country Park
There are an abundance of parks in Coventry, Coombe Country Park a short 10 minutes drive for the heart of Coventry, has over 500 acres of beautiful countryside to explore. They have a variety of activities for the whole family from woodlands walks, a children’s play area, formal gardens and a restaurant. You’ll have a fun few hours here. Your doggy is welcome across the park and you can download a map to see where they are allowed.
Cauldon Castle Park
Another option is Cauldon Castle Park. It’s free to enter and only three miles east from the city centre. While it’s not the largest park Coventry has, it does a offer a green space for your doggy to escape the hustle and bustle. While exploring the park you can visit the remains of Caludon Castle, a Grade 1 listed building.
Lake View Park
Another alternative to a great park close to the city is Lake View Park, a very large grassed wildlife conservation area with River Sherbourne running through the middle, a beautiful spot to spend an hour or two.
Kenilworth Castle
To learn more about Coventry’s history head to Kenilworth Castle. It was constructed from Norman through to Tudor times, it has also played an important historical role. Your doggy is welcome around the grounds of the castle, so why not get your dose of history here.
Ryton Pools Country Park
Once you’re finished exploring the city, just outside Coventry there are a few gems to discover. Ryton Pools Country Park has 100 acres of different habitats and woodlands that are just waiting to be explored. Enjoy a picnic in the peace and quiet of the park or take a walk with dog around the woodlands.
